The Juniper Networks AP45 Access Point extends the exceptional performance and patented virtual Bluetooth LE (vBLE) technology of the Juniper AP43 to the 6GHz band, catering to enterprises requiring increased channel widths and capacity. With its tri-band configuration, including a dedicated fourth radio and a dynamic 16-element vBLE antenna array, the AP45 delivers industry-leading location services, such as user engagement, asset visibility, and contact tracing, without the need for battery-powered BLE beacons or manual calibration.

Operating as a four-radio, four-spatial stream 802.11ax access point, the AP45 achieves maximum data rates of 4800 Mbps in the 6GHz band, 2400 Mbps in the 5GHz band, and 1148 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. The dedicated fourth radio serves various functions, including network, location, and security sensing, synthetic test client radio, and spectrum monitoring. Leveraging Juniper's AI for AX™ capabilities, the AP45 optimizes features introduced in the 802.11ax standard, enhancing network performance. Radio resource management (RRM) automates dynamic channel and power assignment, using the AP's dedicated sensor radio to detect and address interference.

The Mist AI engine continuously monitors coverage and capacity metrics to optimize the RF environment. Incorporating 802.11ax-standard target wake time (TWT) capability and Bluetooth 5.1, the AP45 extends the battery life of IoT devices, and the Juniper Mist platform automatically captures and streams packets to the cloud for efficient issue detection and resolution.

The AP45 seamlessly connects to the Juniper Mist Cloud, ensuring automatic configuration updates and maintaining the network with the latest features, bug fixes, and security versions. The Juniper Mist Cloud controls the vBLE antenna array, enabling turn-by-turn asset location, wayfinding, proximity messaging, contact tracing, and other services without additional hardware, providing a comprehensive wireless networking solution for enterprises.
