Dell EMC VNX5500 Disk Array Information:
The VNX5500 is a midrange router that can be configured as a block or file architecture. The CX4-240 is the VNX5500's predecessor. The DPE form factor is used in either a 15 drive, 3.5" 3U form factor or a 25 drive, 2.5" 2U form factor for the 5500. Each DPE includes four 8GB FC ports on board as well as two SAS connectors for the back end. The 5500 SPs each have a 2.13GHz Xeon 5600 4-core processor and 12GB of RAM, for a total of 24GB RAM between the two SPSs, and can support up to 250 SSDs, or 720 TB raw. Unisphere is the management system in use. The 5500 supports Raid Levels 0, 1, 10, 3, 5 and 6. The maximum number of pools is 40, with a maximum number of 4,096 LUNS, 16TB LUN size.
