Featuring the QFX-PFA-4Q Packet Flow Accelerator (PFA) expansion module with a robust 320 Gbps field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and 1 million logical elements, this switch excels at accelerating critical time-sensitive applications by processing them within the network fabric.
The unique combination of the 320 Gbps PFAs and a 2.56 Tbps Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE), all powered by Juniper’s reliable Junos operating system, positions the QFX5100-24Q-AA as the most customizable switch in the industry. In its base configuration, the switch offers 24 quad small form-factor pluggable plus transceiver (QSFP+) ports. With the optional QFXPFA-4Q expansion module, it transforms into an intelligent application acceleration system, enhancing its adaptability.
Furthermore, the QFX5100-24Q-AA can expand to support 32 QSFP+ ports using additional 40GbE expansion modules, ensuring wire-speed performance with an impressive aggregate throughput of 2.56 Tbps or 1.44 Bpps per switch.
