IBM x3400 M3 & M2 Information

Three generations of the IBM x3400 server have been released (M1, M2 and M3). The M3 Series has a different set of disk drive possibilities than the M1-M2 series. The 4-digit IBM feature code on the front of your server is the best way to figure out which server you have. Certain upgrade choices (such as disk drives) are shared by all three versions, but others (such as CPU upgrades) are not.
