IBM x3690 X5 Information

The System x3690 X5 is a powerful two-socket 2U rack-mount server that runs on Intel Xeon CPUs. The MAX5 memory expansion unit can be used with the x3690 X5 servers to provide up to 2 TB of memory. You get a high-performance workhorse in a rack-dense package when you add the 16 2.5-inch disk drive bays. The Enterprise X-Architecture® x3690 X5 server is part of a new generation of Enterprise X-Architecture® servers. The server enables maximum performance for databases, enterprise applications, and virtualized environments by combining innovation with better dependability and availability features.
