The Sun Blade T6300 server module features an UltraSPARC® T1 CMT CPU with clock rates ranging from 1.0 to 1.4 GHz, up to 32 GB of memory, four 2.5-inch SAS or SATA hard disk drives, and high I/O throughput and memory density. As a result, Web services, JavaTM, and database applications perform exceptionally well on the Sun Blade T6300 server module. The system outperforms competitive two-socket, quad-core x64 rackmount servers while using a quarter of the power. It provides the highest level of reliability: its excellent energy-efficient design helps extend the life of heat-sensitive components, and its sophisticated modular architecture helps reduce maintenance time, resulting in considerably improved serviceability. It offers significantly more performance in a smaller footprint than competitive systems, helping to protect IT investments by ensuring scalability now and in the future.

Supports the Solaris Operating System, which is open and free, as well as LDOM and Solaris Containers.
With hot-swappable disks and no fans or power supply components on the blade, it's designed for high availability.
