SPARC T4-1 Information

The SPARC T4-1 server is based on the SPARC T4 CPU, which offers a new level of single-threaded speed while maintaining high total system throughput. The powerful SPARC T4 processor includes on-chip cryptographic functionality that allows for wire-speed encryption without sacrificing application performance. When stocked with 32 GB DIMMs, the SPARC T4-1 has one SPARC T4 processor and 16 DIMM slots, which may support a total of 512 GB of memory. The SPARC T4-1 server includes eight hard disk drives or solid-state drives and six PCI Express card ports, allowing for extremely extensible internal storage and network connectivity.

A 5x boost in single-thread performance enhances application performance and scalability.
High degrees of security is provided by integrated on-chip cryptographic acceleration without affecting application performance.
Oracle Solaris 10 and 11 are supported, with guaranteed binary compatibility and legacy application support.
