The FAS6040 provides simple management platforms for your NAS or SAN, eliminating the need to manage them independently. With the simultaneous support for block and file protocols using Ethernet and Fibre Channel interfaces included in all FAS series systems, you can simply manage both in a single system. Data ONTAP, which incorporates FlexShare quality-of-service software, is used by the FAS6040. FlexShare enables your storage managers to specify and alter workload priorities dynamically.
